CHOIR
The CLC Sanctuary Choir is a dynamic thriving family of believers who are passionate about declaring the goodness of God through song. Members sing from the deepest gratitude for what God has done (and is doing) in their lives. We rely not on ability or reputation, but on the power of the Holy Spirit to take this humble offering and use it to powerfully change lives every week. There is no question that you would be warmly welcomed if you desired to join. The diverse make-up of our choir creates a wonderful environment of love and acceptance. The Choir has year-round open enrollment. All you need to do to get started is to attend a choir rehearsal to see if this is where God has called you to be. We meet in the choir room at 7:00 PM every Thursday night.
ORCHESTRA
We are blessed each week at CLC by the dynamic group of musicians who communicate their worship though their instruments. We strongly believe in the principle of excellence and work very hard to ensure that the message of the music is presented clearly and skillfully. The Orchestra is a great place for you to be if you play an instrument proficiently and have a strong desire to use that gift for the Lord - we have a music stand waiting for you! The Orchestra has year-round open enrollment! They meet every other Sunday at 4:30pm. We will advise you when the next rehearsal is being held. Due to the amount of music we present each week, you must be able to read music fluently; you must also have at least a high-school level ability on your instrument. To participate, an audition is required. The age limit is flexible based upon the ability level (students are required to be active members of Powerhouse Student Ministries).
MEDIA
Utilizing technology to communicate the Gospel is a high priority at CLC. Our Media team makes it a priority to use available media resources to facilitate the worship experience and to enhance the message to make it memorable. Using sound, lighting, video and projection, we desire to present an environment that brings the message clearly into focus. To participate in any area of ministry within the Music and Media Departments, you must be a member of CLC (if you are over 18). If you are not a member, you can begin the process for membership on the first Sunday of every month! The membership class runs monthly for 4 weeks. If you are not a member, you are still encouraged to attend rehearsals, as long as you are attending the membership class. You will not be able to begin ministering until you have completed the class requirements.
